Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Mass for the Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time was celebrated and live-streamed this afternoon. The link to Mass can be found here: Today's Mass (Mass begins about the 2:30 mark.)
I hope my words during the homily regarding what it means to VOTE PRO-LIFE as a Catholic were somewhat helpful. There is so much information that goes into forming one’s conscience and understanding the words of Pope Benedict (then Cardinal Ratzinger) about formal material cooperation and remote material cooperation when voting for a candidate who is clearly opposed to Catholic Church teachings on life issues. Remember that our conscience is the voice of God within us leading to the truth. There are many VOICES competing with that voice of truth, so pray for discernment. And pray for our country.
UPDATES on PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE ASKED FOR PUBLIC PRAYERS:
Patrick Bohn: (From Amy 10/09/2020) He is trying, I think we are finally getting to a point where he might be able to rehab. He is still in the transplant mini ICU place. Still have lots of issues where it is just a wait and see…had biopsy again this morning. Thanks. We are all exhausted and worn out.
David Griffon: (From Myra 10/09/2020) David is back in his room post stent procedure. Thanks from Myra for the prayers.
If Monday is a holiday for you, enjoy it and be safe.
Monday Mass is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the public recitation of the Rosary.
May God bless you!
