Dear Parishioners and Friends,

HolyInnocents.jpg

We continue our celebration of Christmas for a full eight days.  Today the Church remembers a very tragic event connected to the birth of Jesus.  Sadly, because a very powerful king (Herod) felt threatened by a newborn “king” (Jesus) and felt deceived by the Magi (who were instructed to return to Herod when they located the newborn king, but didn’t), Herod ordered the slaughter of all baby boys two years of age or younger.  It is the feast of the Holy Innocents.  We pray today for all the “innocents” whose lives are cut short because of violence, fear, or inconvenience. Mass, followed by the Rosary, will be live streamed today at 5:30 p.m.  Link to Mass:
